Thomas Shay Hill, an expert in data science and statistical modeling, will spearhead in-depth reporting on national real estate and mortgage markets.

PEABODY, MA, August 17, 2021 – The Warren Group, a leading provider of nationwide real estate and transaction data, today announced the addition of a new data analyst, Thomas Shay Hill, to spearhead the company’s new national real estate and mortgage data reporting and analytics initiative.

Thomas brings expertise in statistical analysis and computing in real estate development and real estate finance to The Warren Group. Currently a PhD Candidate in Urban Planning at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design, Thomas received a Master of Science in Computational Science and Engineering at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences as well as a B.A. in Urban Studies from Columbia University. Thomas’ doctoral studies focus on housing markets, urban growth patterns, and the uses of “big data” for urban planning and housing policy.  Thomas is currently a John R. Meyer Dissertation Fellow at Harvard’s Joint Center for Housing Studies.

“As the Warren Group continues to make headway in the national market, we’re excited to have Tommy’s expertise to help us analyze the real estate and mortgage markets across the United States,” said The Warren Group’s President, David Lovins. “With these compelling insights, the many industries we serve as well as the general public will be able to gain a whole new understanding of the markets, where they’re headed, and how they will impact their businesses and daily lives.”

National Trends to Power Your Decision Making

The addition of Thomas signals the company’s ongoing commitment to providing mission-critical analysis on the national real estate and mortgage markets. With the addition of national data analysis and reporting, the Warren Group will now provide periodic updates on real estate and mortgage trends and patterns across the country. The reports will represent trends and relationships through maps and graphs, constructed using the Warren Group’s proprietary data. Thomas will apply his expertise in machine learning, geospatial analysis, and big data in real estate to the Warren Group’s extensive data resources.

These in-depth examinations will give an intimate view of specific segments within lending and housing. These reports will be beneficial to anyone – from a mortgage company looking for new opportunities for market penetration to a prospective investor exploring the next hot housing market.
