We offer a number of analytical tools that allow you to analyze the real estate and mortgage industries, but every once in a while, we need to get back to basics.

When it comes to data, not only do you want it to be highly accurate, but it’s also critical to keep it organized in order to stay on top of your game. One common organizational issue that we often hear about is converting TSV files (tab-separated values) into Excel files successfully. We know Excel can be confusing, but we’ve simplified the process for you. Follow the steps below, and you will be able to convert a TSV to Excel in no time.

  1. Start by dragging your TSV file to your desktop
  2. Open Excel, locate Desktop Files, then select “All Files”

  1. Double click the TSV file you want to open
  2. Select “Delimited” and click “Next”

  1. Check “Other” and type a semi-colon in the box
  2. Click “Next”

  1. Click “Finish”
