More on foreclosures. Some of you requested data by town. While there are endless ways to crunch the numbers, one of the most interesting to me is the foreclosure rate. I've ranked every Massachusetts city and town by the projected number of 2008 foreclosures per 1,000 residential properties. The list excludes towns with fewer than 1,000 residential properties. Mass. home foreclosures rise again - WBZ Newsradio 1030 Friday, April 25, 2008 (409 reads)
The Warren Group said Thursday that foreclosure deeds more than doubled last month compared with the same month a year ago. The Boston-based publisher of real estate data counted nearly 1,200 foreclosure deeds, in which the owner loses the home, for a 140 percent increase statewide.

Local foreclosures jump again - South Coast Today Friday, April 25, 2008 (382 reads)
Bristol County foreclosures jumped 136 percent, from 50 in March 2007 to 118 last month. Plymouth County's numbers shot up 130 percent, from 57 in March 2007 to 131 last month, according to new data released Thursday by The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman.
